We’re happy to introduce our Business Controller, Inge van Bussel. Since the start of this year, she is part of the Talent Peaks family. Time to get to know her a little bit better.
So, you controll the business ;-)?
I started in a new role for Talent Peaks. I am mainly focusing on Business Control, making sure that we have solid processes that enable a healthy and sustainable growth. Talent Peaks is very successful and the business has shown a strong growth over the last years. The management hired me as an extension to their team, to make sure they have time to properly focus on running the company. So that Talent Peaks can continue doing what we do best; having fun, making impact and being a guide to our customers.
Why Talent Peaks?
I immediately fell for the Talent Peaks DNA. Already in my very first interview with Stijn Vangenechten and Joram Timmerman there was a great connection, both business wise as personal. After a few more conversations they invited me to meet the full Talent Peaks team in one of the quarterly TP-udate meetings. When I met the team, I instantly felt that I wanted to contribute to the TP-family; working in a company with a great culture of learning and development, where people can really be themselves as unique individuals.
Something unique happened to you too, right?
You can say that again! During the application process at Talent Peaks, I shared the wonderful news that me and my boyfriend are expecting a baby. The enthusiasm and positivism the Management Team expressed when they heard the news was really overwhelming. It makes me very proud to be part of such a great company. Of course, a response like that should be normal, but I know for a fact this is not happening in every company.

Why your career move?
I mainly worked at large companies. The main part of my career I worked in the FMCG industry in various roles which offered me a lot of business perspective and development opportunities. But when Talent Peaks contacted me, I found it very appealing to have the chance to dive into a whole new industry, where I can learn a lot and at the same time help Talent Peaks to take their professionalization to the next level.
What will you bring Talent Peaks?
I will combine my limitless enthusiasm, my critical eye and my drive for improvement to optimize Talent Peaks’ business processes, always keeping a balance between strategical and practical solutions.
How do you look back on your first months?
What a journey! It was great to meet all my new colleagues and to learn about the field Talent Peaks operates in. I perceive a lot of freedom in developing my role in the organization. The strong Talent Peaks DNA flows through all day to day contacts with my colleagues!
Tell us one thing we really want to know about you?
I love to travel, and I enjoy good food and good wine. Hanging out with friends makes me happy; I am always there to help and listen. My biggest secret is the amount of purses and bags I have in my closet; nobody knows the exact number. But I would trade them in a blink of the eye for a great holiday, maybe to Japan or Canada.
Inge, again welcome to the family! A new job and expecting your first child .. this really is a year of new beginnings for you. You’re working with us for only a few months now, but it is already hard to imagine life at Talent Peaks without you. It will be strange to not having you around during your maternity leave.
